CEO of Me
Students learn to how to explore career opportunities and make decisions about determining their future. By learning about how businesses are created and managed, they see how these skills can be applied to managing their lives and future. The learn how to start thinking like a professional, showing confidence, and using effective communication skills. They are motivated by the challenges and successes of Black inventors and business people. Many simulations, field trips, and practical experiences are used where they learn to promote and advertise themselves, play the role of a CEO, and to be a business person. They see how life roles, economic systems, and entrepreneurial skills are integrated. Some participants start their own companies or take steps to grow their existing business. Students are invited to be guest panelists on a real radio program.
